The signal can activate an alarm, stop equipment or enable a cooling or heating function. GEMS identifies applications including engines, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic reservoirs and industrial power systems. Suitability still depends on the selected configuration and the conditions at the measuring point.<\/p>\n<p>A thermocouple, Pt100 sensor or transmitter is normally required for continuous temperature measurement, trending or process control.
