Nylon and silicone-rubber insulation serve different conditions within a temperature-measurement chain. Nylon may be relevant where a firm outer sheath and mechanical protection are required. Silicone rubber is often considered where flexibility and routing through restricted space are important.<\/p>\n

Suitability depends on the complete cable construction. Selection must therefore consider not only the insulation material, but also the thermocouple type, conductor, continuous temperature, chemical exposure, moisture and installation method.<\/p>\n

Nylon constructions<\/h2>\n

In a nylon construction, insulated cores may be laid in parallel and protected by a nylon outer sheath. This route may suit general industrial wiring where a compact, protected cable is required. The current temperature limit and material compatibility are confirmed for the specific product reference.<\/p>\n

Silicone-rubber constructions<\/h2>\n

Silicone rubber can provide a highly flexible cable construction. This may be useful for portable equipment, laboratory setups, restricted cable routes or installations where the cable is moved regularly. The complete construction and operating environment still determine final suitability.<\/p>\n
