The construction needs to suit the process medium, operating temperature and pressure, installation geometry and required response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TE Instrumentation designs and manufactures high-pressure thermocouples for applications including LDPE and polymerisation processes, chemical and petrochemical plants, energy systems and other critical process installations. We support both new measurement points and replacement of existing assemblies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Typical applications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>High-pressure chemical and petrochemical processes.<\/li><li>LDPE and polymerisation installations.<\/li><li>Process equipment with critical pressure and temperature conditions.<\/li><li>Replacement sensors manufactured from an existing type number, drawing or sample.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Engineering and selection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Useful specification inputs include the maximum operating pressure and temperature, process medium, connection and sealing arrangement, insertion length, thermocouple type, sheath and process materials, termination and any required certification. Final suitability depends on review of the complete sensor construction and installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Manufacture and replacement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where appropriate for the selected construction, high-pressure thermocouple joints can be produced using a controlled vacuum-brazing process. Gold-based brazing alloys may be selected for their strength and bonding characteristics. The material and joining method are chosen against the process requirements rather than applied as a universal specification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For replacement work, send the existing type number, drawing, nameplate details or a clear photograph.
