GEMS Level Sensors and Level Switches

GEMS level sensors and level switches

GEMS level sensors and single-point level switches detect a defined liquid level in a tank, reservoir, manifold or process component. TE Instrumentation supplies and selects these products as exclusive GEMS distributor in the Netherlands.

Single-point detection supports high- or low-level alarms, pump protection, overfill protection, dry-running protection and leak detection. The correct technology depends on the liquid, coating, temperature, pressure, tank material, mounting and required output.

GEMS ELS-1100 electro-optic level sensor

ELS-1100 is a compact point-level sensor with no moving parts. Integrated electronics detect high, low or intermediate liquid levels, with different mounting and electrical options available. GEMS identifies the series for reservoirs and auxiliary tanks in data-centre liquid cooling using clean water-glycol mixtures. View official ELS-1100 information.

GEMS CAP-300 capacitive level sensor

CAP-300 is a compact sealed sensor that tolerates coating and can be mounted in different positions. GEMS identifies coolant compatibility, making it relevant to coolant reservoirs and OEM equipment after the medium and selected materials have been checked. View official CAP-300 information.

GEMS ULS-200 solid-state point-level sensor

ULS-200 is a capacitive OEM sensor for liquids including water, oils and hydrocarbon-based media. It is designed to resist coating and build-up and offers different logic and time-delay options. GEMS lists applications including HVAC and semiconductor equipment. View official ULS-200 information.

Level and leak detection for data-centre cooling

CDU reservoirs, buffer tanks and other parts of a liquid-cooling system can use point-level sensing for alarms, pump protection and detecting unwanted fluid loss. Explore how level, flow, pressure and valves work together in data-centre cooling systems.

Level sensors in semiconductor equipment

Point-level detection can support utilities, cooling circuits and qualified liquid systems in high-tech equipment. The application must be assessed for purity, chemical compatibility and construction materials. Explore our wider semiconductor sensor solutions.

Frequently asked questions

Which level sensor is suitable for coolant?

That depends on coolant composition, coating, temperature, pressure and tank construction. CAP-300, ELS-1100 and other families can be relevant after technical assessment.

When should I choose a sensor with no moving parts?

Solid-state technology can be useful where space is limited, vibration is present or mechanical wear should be avoided. The behaviour of the medium remains important.

Can a level sensor be used for leak detection?

Depending on its mounting and configuration, a point-level sensor can detect unwanted liquid in a collection area or drip tray.
