TE Instrumentation

GEMS Solenoid Valves

GEMS solenoid valves

TE Instrumentation supplies GEMS solenoid valves for compact fluid-control applications. As exclusive GEMS distributor in the Netherlands, we help OEMs, machine builders and engineering companies select a configuration for the medium, function, pressure, flow, materials, seals, voltage and mounting arrangement.

The GEMS portfolio includes general-purpose, cryogenic and isolation valves. Data-centre liquid cooling and Coolant Distribution Units particularly require compact, reliable valves that can integrate into manifolds or complete equipment.

GEMS AG and BG Series

GEMS positions the AG and BG Series for compact systems that require relatively high flow and fast response. Depending on the configuration, different valve functions, orifice sizes, materials, seals, voltages and mounting arrangements are available. Manifold or operator-only versions can reduce external fittings and potential leak points in an integrated system.

GEMS specifically identifies the AG and BG Series for coolant control in data-centre cooling. Each configuration must be checked against the coolant, differential pressure, temperature and electrical requirements. View official AG Series product information.

General-purpose solenoid valves

General-purpose valves open, close or divert liquid and gas flow in machinery and industrial equipment. Selection starts with normally closed, normally open or diverting function, followed by orifice, flow coefficient, differential pressure, materials and seals. Explore general-purpose GEMS valves.

Cryogenic and isolation valves

GEMS provides separate cryogenic and isolation-valve families for specialist media and duties. These groups require careful assessment of the medium, temperature, materials and safety requirements.

Solenoid valves for CDU and liquid cooling

Valves in a Coolant Distribution Unit control or isolate coolant between pumps, heat exchangers and rack circuits. Compact valves can support redundancy and manifold integration. Combine valve control with flow measurement, level detection and pressure monitoring. Explore the complete data-centre cooling architecture.

Fluid control in semiconductor equipment

Solenoid valves can support liquid or utility functions in high-tech and semiconductor equipment. Use with process media or in critical environments requires qualification of materials, seals, cleanliness and operating conditions. Setra Model 225 is the specific measurement route for UHP gas pressure.

Selection criteria

  • Medium and material compatibility.
  • 2- or 3-way function and normal state.
  • Inlet pressure, outlet pressure and maximum differential pressure.
  • Required flow and orifice.
  • Temperature and duty cycle.
  • Voltage, wattage and electrical termination.
  • Inline, manifold or operator-only mounting.

Frequently asked questions

What information is required to select a solenoid valve?

At minimum: medium, function, pressure on both sides, temperature, required flow, voltage, duty cycle, connection and any material or approval requirements.

Can GEMS valves be integrated into a manifold?

Different series offer manifold or operator-only options. Availability depends on the valve function and configuration.

Are AG and BG valves suitable for data-centre cooling?

GEMS positions these series for data-centre cooling. The specific configuration must be selected for the coolant, pressure, flow, temperature and integration requirements.
